Brad Daughdrill leads Data Science within USAA’s Fraud & Central Operations (FCO) organization. His team develops, implements, monitors, and governs solutions for the fraud, authentication, and proofing domains. Before USAA, he previously worked for Wells Fargo, Morgan Stanley, Citigroup, and Honeywell. Prior to industry, he spent 5 years in academia where his research focused on natural language processing (NLP), consumer choice, and fraud/misreporting, specifically in the areas of investment companies including hedge funds and mutual funds.
Brad is a five-time graduate of The University of Alabama, where he earned a B.S. (Management Information Systems), M.S. (Operations Management), M.B.A. (Risk Management), M.A. (Applied Economics), and Ph.D. (Quantitative Finance). In addition, he is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), SimpliLearn Data Scientist, SAS Predictive Modeler, and SAS Base Programmer.
Brad’s areas of interest include quantitative analysis (Modeling, Data Mining, NLP, Simulation, Optimization), technology (Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Automation, Emerging Tech), and investments (Trading Strategies, Asset Pricing, Algorithmic/High-Frequency Trading).
Brad resides in San Antonio, Texas, USA with his wife, children, and dog.
