Alex Posharow is the Head of the Surveillance and Compliance Investigations departments for the Americas at Credit Suisse.  In his Surveillance role, Alex is responsible for delivering and leading the surveillance operating model and organization across several Americas locations– focusing on Trade, E Comm, and Voice surveillance.

In his Compliance Investigation role, Alex leads a team of investigators that proactively identify, remediate, and perform read-across’ of identified failures in the execution or design of the bank’s compliance processes and controls, in addition to, jointly determining appropriate disciplinary outcomes of misconduct by Credit Suisse employees as a result of their investigations.

In addition to these roles, Alex has recently taken on additional responsibilities being the US Head of Financial Crime Investigations, Surveillance, and Name Screening.

In his 20 year career, Alex has held multiple leadership roles within Market Regulation at several US Stock and Option exchanges including FINRA, New York Stock Exchange, Chicago Board Options Exchange and the Philadelphia Stock Exchange focusing on insider trading and market manipulation trading abuses.  Alex holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the Boston University Questrom School of Business.
