Alasdair is passionate about fighting economic crime and making banking safer for everyone. He leads customer due diligence (CDD) operations at NatWest Boxed, a banking-as-a-service (BaaS) platform, and Mettle, a bank account app built for self-employed people and small businesses. With years of experience across big banks and fintechs, Alasdair loves teaming up with people from different disciplines to find smarter ways to protect customers, keep the bank safe, and stop criminals abusing the system.

After graduating from the University of Aberdeen with an MA in Politics & International Relations, Alasdair started his financial crime career on Barclays’ operations grad scheme. Alasdair also holds an International Diploma in Anti-Money Laundering and in 2024, he was recognised as the Rising Star at the ICA Compliance Awards.
