Prosecutor Benjamin Samson has been with the Department of Justice (DOJ) since 2010. He is the head of the DOJ team which conducted the case build-up for the Bamban Pogo hub which resulted in the filing of qualified trafficking in persons, money laundering, and other cases of national significance against dismissed Mayor Alice Guo and 35 other respondents. He specializes in money laundering, trafficking in persons, drugs, and terrorism financing cases.
A lecturer in the Philippines and abroad, Prosecutor Samson was a Visiting Professional at the international Criminal Court in The Netherlands; Visiting Research Fellow at the China-ASEAN Legal Research Center; and Especially invited Member of the China-ASEAN Legal Cooperation Center. He has also attended speciai courses and conducted lectures in Japan, USA, Italy, india, Cambodia, Brazii, and Russia.
Prosecutor Samson was awarded as the Most Outstanding Alumnus of the China-ASEAN Legal Training Base in China and was given by the Department of Justice a Merit incentive of two (2) steps in salary grade for his excellent performance in 2017.
