After a successful and varied career as a London police detective, Colin worked for nine years in cyber threat-intelligence roles at Citi, the global bank. He now works as a contracting-consulting cybercrime specialist on investigations, intelligence, training and capacity building assignments. 

From 2009-2024, as a senior investigating officer on the UK Police Central eCrime Unit, Colin led complex cybercrime investigations, intelligence development, training and industry engagement. Successful initiatives included the police and banks ‘Virtual Task Force’ collaboration group.  

From 2014- 2023, as an SVP at Citi, he was initially responsible for external cyber threat-intelligence collection, sharing and collaboration and key internal intelligence relationships in EMEA, then recruited and managed a team of eight to perform threat-intelligence sharing and collaboration, worldwide. Successful initiatives included embedding a Citi analyst in the UK National Cyber Security Centre, creating an internal process for selecting, sanitising, logging and sharing-out key organisational cybersecurity insights with trusted private and public sector contacts; and contributing to the 2020-21 UK FCDO Commonwealth Cyber Declaration Intelligence Sharing Guide.
