David M. Parody is a distinguished regulatory consultant and seasoned leader with extensive expertise in international financial services regulation, anti-money laundering (AML), and counter-financing of terrorism (CFT). He has been instrumental in shaping Gibraltar's regulatory landscape, including the development of its Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) and Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) frameworks.

As the National Coordinator for AML/CFT for the Government of Gibraltar, David spearheaded national risk assessments and strategies, as well as successfully led Gibraltar’s removal from the FATF’s Grey Listing. He has also serves as an expert advisor to international organizations such as the Council of Europe and UNODC, offering his insights across Europe, the Middle East, and East Africa.

David is a recognized FATF Mutual Evaluation Report (MER) Assessor, an author of key compliance manuals, and an experienced educator, having delivered modules on compliance at the University of Gibraltar. His leadership and innovative contributions have left a lasting impact on regulatory strategies and financial integrity on a global scale.
