Glen Chee is an accomplished compliance professional with over a decade of experience in the traditional finance industry before transferring his set of skills onto the digital payment token (crypto) ecosystem.  He currently serves as the Head of Compliance and MLRO at Coinhako, where he oversees the company's digital asset and fiat compliance program and brings his expertise in AML/CFT, sanctions and fraud, and FATCA/CRS.

Glen as one of the seven nominated finalists across the financial sector was awarded the winner and title of Compliance Officer of the Year 2024 at the Asian Legal Business Pan Asian Regulatory Award Event. In addition, in the same event Glen’s compliance team was nominated as a finalist in the Virtual Asset Service Provider Compliance Team of the Year.

Through Glen’s commitment to prevent and combat scams at Coinhako, the Singapore Police Force-Anti Scam Centre awarded the company Outstanding Community Award for Preventing Scams in 2024, furthermore he also received from Coinhako the award for Outstanding MLRO 2024.

Prior to his role at Coinhako, Glen held several senior compliance appointments, including Group Compliance/Legal, Group Data Protection Officer for various private wealth and trust institutions, and was director of compliance services for an international UK law firm (DWF LLP, SG). He is certified by the Institute of Banking & Finance as an IBF Advance Compliance/Anti Money Laundering practitioner and was awarded Best Overall AML results by International Compliance Association in 2013. Glen is also a certified Data Protection Officer (DPO) and certified Family Office advisor.

He is a respected and committed leader in the compliance industry and has authored articles published in various financial publications. He has also contributed to the Singapore chapter in “World’s Leading Financial and Trust Centres” (2nd Edition). Glen graduated with a LLB (Honours) and maintains a link with the legal academia as an occasional guest lecturer and motivational speaker for the University of London law programs.
