Helena is the Director Public Policy at Cifas, the UK’s largest not-for-profit fraud prevention membership organisation. She started her career in the public sector with positions in the National Crime Agency, the Assets Recovery Agency, HM Treasury and the Charity Commission, all in the field of financial crime. Following her public service career, she was a Senior Research Fellow at the Royal United Services Institute's (RUSI) Centre for Financial Crime and Security Studies, heading their UK Economic Crime Programme, prior to joining Cifas in 2023.
