Kearan is the Area Architect for External Fraud and FEC Investigations within the fighting Financial & Economic Crime (FEC) business unit of Rabobank. Within FEC Tech, he is part of the leadership teams for these areas. Kearan is focused on the technology content used to detect and prevent fraud and financial crime threats, now and in the future. Additionally, Kearan also leads the Fraud Expertise team where they identify, research, evaluate and experiment with digital innovations and solutions to improve detection and the combating of external fraud. This specialised team is guided by data-driven insights and intelligence, to continuously improve the effectiveness of the fraud detection as they focus on the highest risks and emerging trends.

Prior to joining Rabobank, Kearan worked as the Client Technology Lead (Director) for Financial Services at a technology organization. Before that Kearan worked across numerous consulting, architectural and technical leadership roles. With over 17 years of experience as both a vendor and a client of governance, risk, security, compliance and counter financial crime solutions for financial services, Kearan has a unique perspective on the evolving landscape of scams and fraud, and how this is influenced by technology. He is passional about (tech) leadership, personal growth and development, and lives by the mantra “See one, do one, teach one.”
