Rick has worked in policing for over twenty five years, almost entirely within the Metropolitan Police Service. The majority of his career was investigating firearms offences, then latterly he moved to fraud and cybercrime. During his time at the Cybercrime team he ran two of the UK’s most innovative investigations tackling ‘fraud as a service’ marketplaces, including ispoof and LabHost. These were notable not only for their approach to identifying fraudsters, whilst also obtaining evidence of their mass offending, but also due to the methods used to contact suspects. Rick now coordinates a national network of fraud teams having moved to the City Of London Police.
